Privacy Policy

IR Tracker is a local workspace for cyber security incident records. It does not require an account and does not send incident records to a developer-run server.

Information you enter

You may enter incident names, descriptions, indicators, event times, notes, and other investigation details. The app stores this information in its local Application Support directory on your device. You decide what to record. Avoid including full active passwords, tokens, or other live secrets when a masked value is sufficient.

Summaries

When available, IR Tracker uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework to generate incident summaries from information you entered. If the system model is unavailable, the app can create a local, evidence-based summary without a remote AI service. Generated summaries may contain errors and should be reviewed before use.

Sharing and imports

You can export incident reports, timelines, and handoff files. Files you share through the system share sheet go to the destination you choose. IR Tracker does not control that destination's privacy or retention practices. Imported files are read locally for review and merge. Handoff ZIP exports are not encrypted; use a suitable secure destination for sensitive cases.

Developer collection and tracking

The app does not include a developer account system, advertising, an analytics SDK, or a remote incident database. The developer does not collect incident content through the app and does not use it for tracking.

Retention and deletion

Incident records remain in the local app workspace until you delete them. You can remove individual incidents or use Settings > Delete All Incidents. Deleting app data does not delete copies previously exported, shared, or imported into another app. Device backups may be managed by your Apple account and device settings.
